My Graduate School Culminating Project, Dreaming and the Creative Process, examines what can happen when you take an unusual dream and use aspects of its interpretation as the springboard for a story. Having taken dream interpretation classes prior to taking a class on Creative Writing on Transpersonal Subjects, I have successfully intertwined dream work and creative writing, taking a seemingly innocent dream down a path that I never expected. This story was originally intended to be a simple children’s book, but it evolved into a political fable.

Three Little Cards And Their Third Rail Journey

This political allegory reflects the current state of our country. The story is about three brothers working together to implement important social programs. The ungrateful reaction from the people they serve is truly stunning. Why is everything going so wrong?

The story is set on the “Love Train,” with characters encountering danger and tragedy as the train, going the wrong way, speeds towards an uncertain future. Will the cards save the train, and their world, or will their mission be derailed? Where do you find a hero when you need one?
